What is qualitative research?
Qualitative research is used to uncover how people think and feel, as well as their REASONS and MOTIVATIONS. Qualitative research helps connect organizations with their audience (or other stakeholders) directly, and the insights from qualitative research helps organziations make decisions in the areas of strategy, communication, and innovation.
While qualitative research can be used any time organizations need to deeply understand their audiences or stakeholders, here are some examples of research questions that might be suitable for qualitative research:
- How do the people we serve and/or our target audience feel about the products/services we offer (or are thinking of offering in the future)?
- How can we ensure that our products / services are really meeting the needs of the people we serve?
- How might we improve the way people we serve experience our product/service?
- How can we optimize our communication ideas before producing them, to make sure they deeply resonate with our target?

What do you win?
Upwords will select one winner to receive their professional services at no charge for one qualitative research project, in exchange for permission to present the research findings in public settings (e.g., at conferences or workshops with other research professionals or students; or online on company website or LinkedIn).
